    Herrington Kings Mill

Youtube video shows the marina floating downstream with boats and all. Waaaayyyyy too much rain for the state to handle at one time. I have never seen flooding like this in KY.

Man I saw some of that! Can you imagine the force it takes to do that? Heard on the news that the marina owner didn't have insurance.

How do you not have insurance on water??? Must be very expensive I guess but I always thought they all had some kind of insurance.

I just saw the video WOW!!!! I dont see how someone can own a marina and not have any insurance especially with all the customers that would visit. You would think the Corpswould require it....

If thats the case I also feel sorry for the people with boats tied up.

I bet there will be a few boats in all the creeks and rivers when the water goes back down. I could imagine the canoes and such in elkhorn.

I seen on the news a couple days ago that lowlifes are looting the houseboats that broke away with the marina. One lady said she lost three computers and a few other items. The boats with the marina looks as if it has rested against a cliff wall bank. I highly doubt it would make it thru the hogs back. I am half scared to even run thru there most of the time. It is a prop eater if you hit it wrong!!

It is past Gwinn Island Marina and is a narrow way between two points that leads into the Dix river.

With the water up 30 to 35 ft. it would plenty wide enough for the dock to fit through the Hogsback . I live not far from the lake but have'nt heard how the situation is down there since the high water rise ,if I hear I'll report on the situation.
