Re: Whats the best 7ft+ spinning rod?

I have a Crucial drop shot rod....7'2 and i love it....very soft tip and enough backbone to get the hook in em....also use them to minnow fish with during the winter and have caught some nice smallies....so theyre definately strong enough....hard to beat for the money and the warranty is the best

Re: Whats the best 7ft+ spinning rod?

I dont have one yet, but I am getting ready to buy a Crucial. I posted a sililar question a while back, most people suggested a Cumera or a Crucial. I went to bass pro while on a family adventure a couple weeks ago and played with both of them. I couldnt see enough of a difference to pay the extra money.

I first started read post on here and thought that most people worked for Shimano. I didnt own anything Shimano either. Then last summer I bought a Sahara spinning reel. I LOVE IT. I see why Shimano is so popular, you may pay a little more for it, but the quality is there and isnt there a old saying about you get what you pay for? Just my 2 cents......GO VOLS
