Dealings with Waynes Boat Service in Morehead?

Has anyone used his service before?

Wayne has worked on several of my boats in the past and I would recommend him to anyone. He is a good guy that has been in business for a long time and he knows his stuff.

He seems like a great guy and always nice and professional when I talk to him. He came with high reguards from fellow boaters. However he has had my boat for about 6 weeks for an unknown miss in the motor not allowing it to get up on plane. I had a motor rebuilt by a different builder a few years ago in 5 weeks lol. I will give him a call again tomorrow to see if there has been any progress.

I have talked to a couple places that service boats and they are all behind by 3 weeks and some places more. Six weeks seems like a long time, I would check on progress and if there has not been Any I would go get my boat and take it somewhere else. Did he give you any idea on how long it would take?

He told me a few days before he could look at it. Which it did do a quick check over off it like 2 days later. I took it to him early on before he got busy. He had a few boats but wasnt busy yet. That was the goal anyways.

Well, since you took your boat there because it was recommended...what is the point of this thread? Seems to me you call him, talk to him and either you are satisfied or not and does not matter what someone else thinks now. If you are on here to complain about a business, you need to put up your contact information on your post as required by the Discussion Board rules.

DaveStewart I'm sorry if you mis understood me in anyway. I also did not know I was in violation of the discussion board rules. I will fix that immediately. I never meant for my post to degrade or cause issues for anyone. I simply wondered if it was normal for an issue like mine to take this long to resolve. I never have been in this position before. I believe Wayne to be an excellent mechanic and as I stated before he comes in high reguards by others. Yes I am a little upset but definately not at Wayne. I'm mad at myself for buying a used boat and then it doesn't run right when I get it home.
