Still up 18ft as of this morning....havent been out there to look but heard its been pretty muddy....has there been any clearing slayer?
Haven't been on the lake since the flood but there should be cleaner water in the upper Robinson Creek area and the upper river area. I'm not to fond of fishing Green when their pulling water that fast so I'll probably wait another week or so before I try it. What do you think fishin is life?
I was out there right after the flood and the mud was moving toward the dam and I've heard that its really muddy out there now....being up 18ft and with them only being able to pull it a little less than a foot a day i'd say it'll be a few weeks before its really fishable....not to mention we've had some rain here today that might slow the process down a little
I think you're right, in about 2 weeks it should be closer to summer pool and be much more fishable. I just hate to miss out on that post-spawn bite. When Lone Valley ramp is usable I'll probably give it a try anyway. There should be a smallie bite around the rocky areas of the lower lake. I can usually pick up a few quality fish when they're pulling a lot of water. Maybe they like the current or something.
I usually like when we get enough rain for em to pull current during the summer but the rest of the year im not real fond of it....if you ever need somebody to ride along and fish with ya pm me and we'll get some details together
Did anyone venture out on Green this weekend. I have a club tournament there this weekend and was wondering what the water conditions were. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Where is your club tournament scheduled to take out of?....Most of the ramps are still closed and water is still high
It was scheduled out of Green River Marina but we are going to move it to Emerald or Holmes Bend.
