I thought the Nets had the most to offer but you may be right. Anyway in my thinking the nets will or should get Wall and the next pick whoever it will be ( !cousins!) will add to the run for a championship if Lebron comes. And if they can land LeBron they will need a coach for this championship run!

The max contract the Cavs can offer Lebron is $125 Million for 6 years but the max contract any other team (provided they have the cap space) is $95 Million for 5 years. The NBA set this up to help teams keep their better players hoping the money is the reason they show loyalty and stay. $30 Million to Lebron is about $10 to you and me. Lebron wants TITLES not CASH. I say he stays in Cleveland, they fire their head coach and get rid of Danny Ferry plus sign a big time free agent like Bosch or Boozer to help out the inside game. If he does leave then I say he goes to the Bulls and plays with Rose, Dang and the idiot from Florida - Noah. Better title chance with the Bulls and those 3 versus what he has now. Cleveland better do something to the team and not depend on the cash to keep him there. He wants Titles.

Well demadan, I see it as anybodys game when the vols and cats play with the edge going to the home team. I could give 2 craps in a bucket if he stays or goes. I just posted the thread to see what the uk fans thought. And the only thing I'm taking to the bank is that the quality of basketball at UT is the best it has been in years. You dont have to be such a butt, my pokes at uk are all in fun and the pokes about UT I take as fun also, dont get your panties in a bunch.

Cal could be gone tomorrow. He would not be the first to come out PUBLICLY and say he is coaching at UK next year and be gone within a couple of hours or a couple of days. One thing I have learned is a "Contract" is binding unless it relates to Head Coaches. I would love to read just one of these "Contracts" to see how many loopholes are in them to have so many coaches leave during the middle of a "Contract". Forget the paperwork, might as well be a handshake deal between Universities and Coaches and be done with it.

As far as UT goes, it is the best it has been since Mears and Devoe, but considering that is Buzz Peterson, Wade Houston, Jerry Green and whomever I missed, it is not saying much. UT Men's Basketball fans can really strut around when you mention the Tennessee Basketball Program and the first thought is NOT Pat Summitt, then you can strut - But that will NEVER happen

    Re: Coach Cal leaving???

Lachlean McClean played a tape of Calipari the other day. He was talking to a Memphis reporter and told her that is where he wanted to be, he wasn't going anywhere, Yada, Yada, Yada. He was in Lexington two days later saying he'll take the greatest job in the world, Yada, Yada. He's a head coach and they are only ONE step down the ladder from Politicians, they all LIE LIKE RUGS.

If any of the UK faithful think that goober is married to you forever they are quite delusional.

We pretty much should have learned our "lesson" when the former UK and current U of L coach "Yada, Yada, Yada I will be here until you graduate and that is a GUARANTEE Mr. Micheal Bradley" now sign your letter of intent. OK, Mr. Pitino I have signed now what? Now, I am taking over as head coach and part owner of the Boston Celtics, good luck with your New Coach Tubby Smith. But, But, But, But Tubby is a Black Man and no son of mine will play for a Black Man for more than 1 year even though he is starting and getting playing time, We will take our ball and transfer to Villanova. Lesson taught and lesson learned very well.

Yep all it takes is money and people telling you how great it will be. Espn is reporting this cal and lebron team everyday like they have some inside scoop with lebrons camp.

Calapari and James are not the big buddies everybody thinks. It pays both of them to be casually attached. World Wide Wes and James are thicker than thieves and Calipari rides their coat tails for recruits. UK is also wearing Lebron's shoes, which means UK makes him a healthy check. When World Wide Wes gets a fish on the line for a team he wines and dines them by getting players like Lebron on the phone and let's them talk for a minute. 18 year old kids eat that stuff up and it works.

Calapari has alot of Eddie Haskell in him, he is a smoove operator and always has been. If I was you I wouldn't believe a word that comes from his mouth. And before you say it, I don't think Pitino is much better.

    Re: Coach Cal leaving???

Fact is, dont count on any coach being with there program until the next season starts, especially the sucessful ones. Im sure they get tempted with offers all the time and we dont even hear about most of them. The ones we do hear about most of the time are from "sources close to" who dont want any one to know who they are,. And any publicty is good publicity for caoches, cause it keeps there name out there, and good for there programs for the same reason. Is it me or have a lot of the high profile caoches become a lot lie politicians?

    Re: Coach Cal leaving???

I head that Pitino was offering Cal a 10 million dollar bonus to go back to the NBA? Something about buying out the competition?

Can anyone else get that link to come up? I can't...
