ditto this question... now that they are drawing teh lake down pretty good is it making everything muddy???
I really wish we could get somebody to do some basic reports on rough River and Nolin River lakes on this site like the other lakes have.

I dont think there are any guides on these lakes....
Hello,
I live in Elizabethtown and go to Nolin, Rough and Green fairly often.
I was at Rough on Monday. I put in at the state dock and if was definitely muddy.
Was at Green over the weekend around Holmes Bend, same situation there.
Someone told me that Nolin was fairly clear, however, they've stepped up the outflow on the tailwaters of all three lakes, so I'd look for it to stay muddy for awhile.![]()
Was on Nolin last weekend, fished from moutardier to the dam. Went into Briar and Piney creek. Both of them were extremely clear. In some places you could see bottom in over 5 ft down.
Did you have any luck at Nolin with the high water?
I haven't been to these lakes to fish since the flooding, so I can't help you there. But here is a link that is updated daily on lake levels, outflow, change in the last 24 hours, etc. that may help, good luck.

i was at the state ramp at rough monday and it was not muddy at all. It was very clear evey where i went. 69 degree water bout everywhere
I was there sunday a friend of mine lives about 1/2 mile from everleigh boat ramp and the water was clearing up real nice and north fork looked clear as i have ever seen rough. My fishing partner is sick and i have not been fishing this week at all and its killing me.
Oh almost forgot there was some people there fishing off the bank and they said they were catching stripers about 4 and 5 pounders.
I personally did not have much luck. We came in about the same time a club was doing their weigh-in. I saw 1st place was 14 lbs and 2nd was 9
Fished RR today put in at North Fork (parking lot) base water temp was 66 deg. Water level is 15' over summerpool 510.00. They started a draw down, pulling 1280 CFS. Started off flipping the deeper bushes with no luck. Went to the bank flippin the grass and small cover and hooked up with some bass. Had 3 keepers the largest was 16" and caught about 15 bass total by 11:30. Fished on main lake with them pulling water. Had to leave to go to work at 12, it was starting to get windy.
