Hey guys, just got my new boat and plan on getting out this weekend. It has a hot foot installed and I have never used one. Do I just put the motor in gear and then press throttle? I'm clueless. Been on boats my whole life hut never used a hot foot. I know this probably belongs in the boating section but figured I would yet a fast response here. Thanks a lot.

Yep What floatman said.
Just remember...it does not have a brake like your car does.
It definitely takes some getting used to. Out on the lake it will come natural. Loading, unloading, docking - it will be a huge change. Once you get used to it, it is very hard to go back.
Thanks a lot for the advice.
I agree with everything said especially that it will be hard to go without it! i won't have another boat without one!
