    Re: Flyers v. Canadiens

HAHAHAHAHA You have me laughing my guts out up here BOB. That is just priceless. Thanks so much for getting the Flyers to send that note to the Canadiens. Our goalie needs all the help and encouragement he can get. Yes you may be right and I bet he had a couple of those cheesesteaks before the game. That might have been his problem. I would love to try those Philly Cheese steaks, please send me one. Maybe we should be feeding some poutine to the Flyers next time they are up here. Thanks for the laugh you silly guy you!

Thanks for making my day, Bob! That was great!

To me, the Habs are looking like a tired hockey team, especially Halak. Did you see that third goal? He basically stood there and watched it go by!

Note to Halak: That glove on your left hand may be used to catch the puck. Don't worry, it's padded, so you won't break your hand.

    Re: Flyers v. Canadiens

I know! I couldnt believe he just stood there with his glove up and the puck hit the side of it and bounced in I mean if he had just moved his hand one inch he could have caught it. Another goal was just with him standing there and the puck went right by him. Its like he was on tranquilers or something. Very burnt out. Even the announcer said about Halak "You know you are having a bad time when you skate backward and trip" They really should have pulled him after the first period.

    Dearest Flyers,

Thanks for the advice. You should try it yourself sometime.....smucks!

    Warmest Regards,

    Canadiens.

PS: Ahhhhh, ya might want to tell your goalie the correct position is "infront" of the "little black round thingie", and not "beside it". Eh?!?!?!

Yes, the little round black thingie is supposed to go in the 3 sided hoop with the net in it.

We apologize we can't provide much help in how to do that, it comes naturally to us and we've never really had to study it.

Warm regards, and feel free to contact us for further assistance in the future.

    Cheers!
    The Flyers

P.S.: We're glad you had a chance to sample our Phily Cheese Steaks. Might we suggest though, it's best from a sports performance viewpoint to consume them after rather than before playoff games.

Hahahaha love your letters Bob, very funny It works as the Montreal goalie Halak was really on the ball tonight and didnt eat any cheese steaks or poutine before the game. LOL I think the Canadiens were happy to be home and played a good game. Lots of tension between these 2 teams and a fight broke out in the 3rd period. I hate to say it but I do enjoy them and no one gets hurt. Just releasing some testosterone.
Hey Road Toad, what did you think of that final goal? Amazing, eh?

Sorry but I was fighting to keep my eyes open by that last goal. Sounds like I'm glad I didn't get a closer look . Just kidding, Bergeron (I wonder if he's related to Tom?) deserves a lot of credit. The series IS starting to get a little chippy, and I'll bet there are more fights tomorrow. Being a Flyers fan in the first place, I obviously have no problem with that! I started watching hockey back when the Flyers were the Broad Street Bullies. Do you remember that big brawl at a Canadians vs. Flyers playoff game, back in the 80's, during the WARMUPS? That was a classic!

You know I can kind of remember that but cant picture it. I wish YouTube went back that far so I could look it up. Wow during warmups, eh? Now you dont see that everyday. But that is what I love about the Stanley Cup playoffs Everybody plays their hardest and tensions are running high. Everybody wants that Cup very badly. I notice your boys are doing very well in growing their beards and hair long. I love that tradition also. I wouldnt mind a couple more fights between the Flyers and the Canadiens before one of the teams win and move on.

Thanks for the article. Wow all that cuz Lemieux was doing make believe goals on the Philly net before the game. Both teams are very fiery group. Ya gotta love that. I remember Ron Hextall. He was a favourite of mine back then.

Speaking of fights. One player that didnt fight much was Wayne Gretzsky. Here is a funny fight with him when he was starting out with the Edmonton Oilers in the 80's. This is when I was out there and went to lots of games.

    Dear Canadiens:

How you like us now? We tried it, we liked it. Now, about the goalie deal. You guys ought to hire one that hangs around for the whole game. Empty netters are no fun.

Looking forward to charming you again,
    The Flyers

PS Now how many blanks was that?

Thanks, I'd never seen that clip. That's hilarious. The only one who actually dropped his gloves was the one trying to break it up! On the subject of fighting, I like a good one as much as anybody, but I'm glad it's more under control these days than it was back in the 70's and 80's. And I like the new "instigator" rule, although I'm not crazy about how it's enforced.
