The name doesnt ring a bell for me Bob so I looked him up. Yes, he was nicknamed the Hammer for his aggressive style of hockey. He is actually a Canadian boy raised in Saskatchewan and was described as a shy boy growing up. Ha! that changed when he became a professional hockey player. Heck, hockey was a very agressive sport back in the 70's and he played for the Flyers which were known as the Broad Street Bullies. I remember the Montreal Canadiens were also very agressive back then. It was seen as a man's game and they played rough. I wonder looking back if they were on some sort of steroids. The fights were brutal and they got hurt. I am glad we dont see that level of violence anymore.
