Dave does a very good job in his "Lake Familiarization Class". He will teach you to eliminate water based on fishing conditions plus will teach you about following the bait - which is also following the fish because they won't be far behind. He has been doing these in the winter the past couple of years and not sure if he is doing them during his "on the water" guiding time, more so when he is not "on the water". Get in touch with him because it is money well spent. You will be able to take the knowledge you use from this class to basically any lake at any time and be able to eliminate water and get a good starting point on where the fish should be plus you will be able to adjust from there as well. Very good information given out in his class and well worth the money. Take a buddy and split the cost.
