Ramps Open At Green ?

Kentucy Afield fishing report said they were all closed on Green.....

the emerald isle marina ramp is open....ive heard there have been people launching at holmes bend also....i believe thats the only two you can use

What about lone valley or site 1

I don't know if it's open for sure but Lone Valley may be getting close. I'm thinking it reopens around 10 or 12 feet over. You can call the C.O.E. office at 270-465-4463 and they should know. Ramp 1 along with Smiths Ridge and State Dock will be one of the last ones to reopen. I like LV best, the ramp is protected, parking is close and it's a short idle out to the throttle-up buoys.

Lone Valley and Ramp 1 are still closed...still up just over 16ft this morning....i would assume its still up in the pavilion at lone valley and i'm sure theres no parking at ramp 1....

I'll try to sneak away from work tomorrow and drive out to LV and check it out. If I'm able to that I'll post conditions here.

you can almost drive around the pavillion at lone valley,the parking lot is dry now(upper by the ramp).the water looks like choclate milk.

Chocolate milk is an accurate description. There were some boats unloading on the approach to LV ramp this afternoon. They were having to back way into the water but they were launching and loading. I spoke with one fisherman there and he said the fishing is pretty tough.

Went today Launched at Lone Valley... Chocolate Milk for sure.... went up to site one and down past the campground a ways and it didnt seem any better anywhere.. just had to get out a little...... dont see any reason to go back for at least 10 days or 2 weeks...I didnt see anyone at site one so I would guess it is still closed....I knew the water level but seeing it in person is another thing...WOW ...........

shoulda saw it a couple weeks ago....you could add another 8 feet onto what you saw today......i was flipping the picnic tables under the pavilion at ramp 1....not sure if that lake will be right the rest of the year

It might sound crazy but if we got enough rain to make the major tributaries rise, only without all the muddy water we had during the flood, it would do a lot to clear up the lake. The big drawback to that theory would be unless the lake was down to normal levels beforehand it would delay the return of reasonable lake levels.
