Assuming you mean McAlpine upper pool (Cox Park, Duffys, etc.) - the water level has been at normal level for quite a while now, but it's been muddy and flowing pretty strong. Hasn't been too much debris floating, and what is floating is mostly small stuff. Fishing has been good in the creeks where the water clarity is much better. The sauger bite was unbelievable yesterday - caught more of those than the bass I was after. Maybe had 8 or 10 sauger all over 15", with the biggest around 2 lbs. - Sauger were hitting my chartreuse crankbait and soft plastic in about 6 ft of water, particularly in areas where current was flowing around rocks. Prime example is the rip rap on the downstream bank at the mouth of Captains Quarters and around the old bridge abutments in Harrods Creek - similar areas in other creeks produced the same result. Would like to have seen how live bait would have produced.

River expected to come up slightly with all the rain yesterday.
