That one appears to be like the mountain lions we have here, they are far too big to have been domesticated cats. About two miles from where I live, I saw 3 trees that one had scratched on and the marks were about 6 ft high. The man that owns the property told me that two of them comes to his house and eats the dog's food. He has shot at them a few times while they were running but the police told him to stop it because he could hit someone or their house. It is a dense neighborhood of upscale homes. Mountain lions don't have a mane and the ones I have seen are yellow and look like a 100-lb. cat. They kill and eat deer so you can imagine their size and speed.

I was in Alabama and was driving late at night and one ran across the road right in front of my car. Since then they are being seen more often and occasionally we hear of a hunter killing one.
