Sure would be nice if there was a sign there reminding people of this even a sign on the door or side of the marina.

Last year there was a misprint in the Fish and Wildlife regulations book that allowed people to Idle their large engines. That has been corrected this year and is being heavily enforced. With all the rain and most lakes being trashed, Beaver Lake in Lawrenceburg KY had about 60 boats in it on Saturday and the game warden had no mercy on anyone.
I just wanted to warn all fellow fishermen and ladies that the law is hot down there. I wish he would enforce the "no wake past fishermen while actively fishing law". I absolutely love Beaver Lake and would like to see all laws enforced for everyone!
Oh, I had a keeper on Saturday fishing a Swim Bait. Went Sunday and caught plenty on fluke. Only one on a swim bait. Outside edge of grass mostly, and some pockets in the grass.
Sure would be nice if there was a sign there reminding people of this even a sign on the door or side of the marina.
The thing is the state wouldn't receive the amount of money from the tickets they are passing out if they correctly warned people. Trust me those tickets are not cheap(around $220). I received one last year on Barren. It was midnite and he was a good 1/4 mile away when "saw" me idling too fast in a no wake zone. There is probably a reason they haven't posted the change properly. EASY MONEY!!!
Here is the sign. At waters edge of launch. http://www.beaverlakemarinaky.com/rules.jpg
Not trying to stir the pot but....
As fishermen we are responsible for following the rules and regulations. Anyone who is new to a body of water should ask about the rules and even the people like me who fish it all the time should keep up with the regs. cause you never know if they change year to year.
Hey 18'Stratos,
I think that I saw you the other day at Beaver on Saturday. I had just finished unloading my blue and white nitro when you were coming out. We had it tough in the afternoon. Ending up catching a couple of shorts but we had to work hard for them. Seemed like the boat numbers had taken a toll on Beaver by the end of the day. We caught 4 times as many fish a couple weeks ago. If you see me out there again my boat is titled in SD (home state-up here going to college) Say hi.
