Wide Receiver Coach and then Offensive Coordinator for 5 seasons at a Major University in the Pac 10

5-15 in one plus season as Head Coach in the NFL before being fired

7-6 in his only year as Head Coach at a Major University in the SEC before leaving to be Head Coach at same Major University in the Pac 10

$4 Million Salary is on par with the likes of Mack Brown, Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Les Miles and Bob Stoops and is more than Jim Tressel - All 6 of these veteran coaches has led their teams to a 12 win season and at least 1 National Title.

Took over for a veteran coach that left making $4.4 Million per year but had achieved 2 National Championships and 7 Pac 10 Titles.

Drum Roll Please.................Lane Kiffin..........Are You Serious? Talking about what have you done for me lately or in this case EVER to earn $4 Million per year. What am I missing in this equation to have USC give this nobody that much money? Plus he brings his Dad along as Defensive Coordinator (at least the Dad has the credentials for the Defensive Coordinator Position) for right at $2 Million per year making him the highest paid Assistant College Football Coach in the country as well. Are we looking at the Ryan Leaf of coaching or the next becoming, only time and TITLES ( a lot of TITLES) will tell.

I agree, Lane Kiffin is the highest paid well known coach who has done zero up to this point. I guess we will see how much of that salary he is actually worth. He has good talen, landed a good recruiting class and plays a decent schedule so he should have no excuses.

Personally I would love to see the PRETTY BOY fall flat on his face. As much as I dis-like UT Football (Basically because the Big Blue can't beat them) NO school and their "Student/Athletes" deserves to have done to them what Kiffin did to them.

I'm glad he's someone else's problem. It sucked the way he left, but if he didnt want to be at UT we didn't need him. I think he would make a good politician, he promises everything under the sun and doesnt do any of it, he could be Arnold's right hand man......hahahaha
