    Wink Calapari = The game

I got it, I know why all this talk is going on. WWWes and the Calapari Mofia are playing this one to the hilt. All the while Calapari gets to sit back and say, ''Who me, I'm not going anywhere'', meanwhile Mitch Barnyard and Lee Todd are tighter than a 20 dollar banjo string. Then while the UK brass sweats industrial sized bullets, the new contract for ole Calapari gets bigger and bigger. UK is fixin to offer that guy more money than the Pope's got, mark my words.

Calapari and his Posse are fixing to laugh all the way to the bank because they are playing Todd and Barnyard like a Fiddle, this is so obvious. The bad part is there is enough truth to it that Lee Todd will be forced to get that checkbook out and write a BIGGUN boys,, and I mean a BIGGUN. That mofia Don will own half of Lexington before it's over.

Welcome to ''Calapari world'' UK fans, and this will go on every year that guy is there, count on it.

I get what you're saying, but didn't he just tell UK he didn't want more money?

Man the die hard fans are gonna hate this if it actually happens. If it does maybe it's time to get Travis Ford.

I love Travis Ford. I liked him as a player and he's been a heck of a coach everywhere he's been. He's down to earth and has a spine and a big heart. I'd much rather have Travis as a coach as I would that shyster you guys have right now.

Kentucky will buy Calapari fellas, this is a money thing, that is what makes that guy tick.

    Calapari = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Travis won at EKU, and now he's done a nice job at Oklahoma State also, hire him and run that snake off.

He also did a good job at UMass. Even beat the Cards in Freedom Hall while he was at UMass. (trust me, I had to watch it in person, thank the Lord above they sell beer)!

I have seen the buzz in Lexington no check that...the mania in Lexington as the Calipari era began and it does feel good to see such a frenzy to a storied program that was floundering.
I would like to see it continue for as long as it can. It makes for good college basketball games and story lines.

I had a good source tell me Billy Donovan was coming a fews years back before UK finally hired Billy G. We met a local Bank President at the Airport (we were headed to Florida as well) on his way down to get the final details ironed out.
Amazing how many people in our group got on the phone after talking to him with the breaking news!

LOL. Yeah, I remember some people who really used the "DONE DEAL" phrase a lot and were tracking private flights and rental cars out of Orlando over Eddie Munster.

    -----

    1. Memphis offered Cal more money to stay (per Cal). He told Memphis that it wasn't about more money - It was Kentucky. Was that coach-speak? I dunno. But it is what it is.

    2. Cal told Mitch Barnhart that he did not want/need a raise. On account, Barnhart has said that the contract re-negotiations will be about extending the length of his stay in Lexington, not more money.

I just don't really see both of those things being from someone who is all about making more money for himself. The guy's already got a TON of cash with his mega-salary and endorsements...what he says is his dream job in college...and he has already failed miserably in the NBA. He's got a fan base that generally loves him here, spotlight, players, ties to the Pros, and plenty of cash. He can look 70 miles West and ask a certain fellow if the grass is greener if he doesn't remember for himself.

Call me naive, but I think he's here for a good while if he doesn't somehow screw it up. I think he has his crap together and he won't.

If he leaves tomorrow and I'm totally wrong, so be it, but I think he's a Wildcat for awhile.

PS. Terrance Jones to UK just happened.

That makes this incoming class far and away the #1 class for 2010-2011...

    Coach isn't going anywhere.
