    Cumberland Report

We fished the west end for walleye Fri. night and could not catch eye's for the striper. In three hours we had over 20 striper. All fish were caught on channel bluff walls on top water. We heard very few fish a busting but they were still coming up and inhailing a red fin. This was the best top water bite I have seen in the last 2 years. Good luck too all hope this help's.

We had two short fish before the strom caught the rest after the storm blew through. It felt like it was raining a inch a hour thank goodness for good rain gear.

What time did they hit the best? Did the shad come up?

I may fish by myself one night this week and just can't make it all night and looking for the best 4 hrs or so.

    Thanks

Shad were up some but not great. The best bite was from 2 till 5am they got real slow from 5 till daylight. We caught a lot of 20 to 23 inch fish. I cant say for sure how many were keeps because once we had our limit we quit measureing them. We were trying to get them back in the water as fast as possible. If I had to guess we probably had 8 to 10 keepers with 3 in the 15 pound range and the rest were in the 20 to 26 inch range nothing huge just a lot of fun.
