Thanks for the help. How many miles is it to New Johnsonville from Paris?
I think around 35 miles or more
Presently, the Big Sandy and main lake are the color of coffee/cream. Lake was still at 360' this past Wed. I landed 35 bass in 5 hours fishing the Pace Point area at the mouth of Big Sandy. Best fish came on a Black Neon creature bait flipped dead into the center of outside buckbushes. You had to almost hit them on the head, but they'd thump it pretty good when you did. Took several from base of willow trees, but you had to be persistent. Sometimes a 6 inch difference in where you put your cast made the difference. Also got a lot of short fish (13-14") on a Jackall Flickit Wacky Jig using Watermelon/Red YumDingers. Went thru almost a whole bag of those. It was a decent day......
Lake has stayed about 360 all week,is clearing up backs of bays first,It s actually not Paris ,Paris is 17 miles west, here its paris landing where the ramp is,Buchanan,Springville, new johnsonville.
Running to say new johnsonville depends upon the boat and lake conditions,30-35 min for most guys in say 20 ft bass boats, capable of running at least 60mph,again lake conditions can limit faster timing say in my allison.
The pondweed taken last june and two points in the link pictures are within sight of paris landing slightly north, the rest are of the ramp area and south
