    quarry lakes

When you are driving west on the gene snycer past preston highway but before I-65, there is a huge flooded quarry to your right that has a houseboat floating in it. Has anyone here ever fished it???

Are quarries a descent place to fish? I know of one in bullitt county that people fished when i was a kid, but i have ever been there.

Don't know about that one, but there was one West bound rt. before Middletown exit where Old Henry is now that was clear and deep. Late at night I know of many 6lb. + caught there mostly on blk. or motor oil 6" worms. I think there was a few old cars snagged also.

The one your talking about is pretty deep,I think it's private. The house that's sit's in front of it is located on South Park rd. between preston and Bluelick rd's next to Jr's outboard's.

That houseboat had a meth lab on it about a year ago. It was on the news when the busted it.

The quarry off southpark is private. My next door niegbor fished with a guy that had access. They caught some bass but all of them were small. I seen a bass boat pulling in through the gate one morning on my way to work. And yes there was a meth lab busted on the house boat on there. Wonder how the police found out about that. Maybe the smell. Years ago before it was full me and a freind went way back in the tunnels for probably 1-2-miles before the tunnels split into 4 different directions and we went no futher back. I heard that they connect to the tunnels over by the zoo but thats hearsay. I think there would have to be some nice bass in there. Later jc

I sure wish I owned it. Back during goose season, it was LOADED with geese when everything else was froze over, ducks too...I'm guessing it's pretty dang deep since it was the only water open besides the Ohio River. I have to drive by it every morning on the way to work and dream about sitting on it with a decoy spread and waxing that arse!

No telling what kind of fish are in there, or bodies
