Water looks good in those areas. A few big floaters as well.

Ditto, but the bite is dead in that area right now for whatever reason.

Was down there Sat.The water color was good and so was the water temp. Caught several small fish and I do mean small and lots of short fish, had two 15 in smallies and one 18 in keeper. Bite was odd. Had several small fish hit at Horny toad but no takers. all our bigger fish came on shaky head worm. I think that all this cover in the lake now has these fish confused as they are not used to cover. Also there are some floaters around so be careful.

Water color is great from Jamestown to dam. Didn't go anywhere else. Sunday after noon with the sun shining it was the green unique color it was before the dam work.
Very clear. Clearly saw some gar swim by boat.
By accident caught a 23 inch smallie on the bugwood flats (on a flat area) in 18-20 feet of water with bait 14 feet down.
    73 degree water in afternoon

23 inch, nice fish Peter. This warmer water temps are already sending the brown ones deeper. Summer night bite from here out probly.

What happened to spring......Oh that's right, it rained the whole time, lol.

    Depth correction

Sorry--that was--the bait 14 feet below surface not 24--big difference for smallie fishing I suspect.

Had 1 keeper Smallie, 1 Largemouth around 2.5 Lbs. & tail bloody as could be, a couple of Kentucks & 2 small Largemouht & 1 Smallie about 16".Also broke a huge one off. Boat sitting between 30 & 40 Ft. of water. Fish hit about half way back to boat. Tubes were the ticket for us. Couldn't even take a hit on a jig.

Sat we saw two fish that looked to be bedding or starting to bed, saw them clearly, one would be pushing 8 to 10 lbs and the other was close to 6, both were on top of a sunken boat hse frame or something like that, in the state dock area. These both were huge lagremouths and we ran right on top of them. Biggest bass I have seen in a while, she also had some marks on her head looked like scars. yes was that close to this fish, she was right next to the boat.
