Taking the wife to the lake Sunday afternoon for some gills. Anyone have a report on the water color and is it still up? I figured they are on the nest by now. A little over two weeks ago a couple shellcracker I caught were full of eggs.

How did it go? Where they on the nest and how did the water look?

Fished from 2 til 6 today. Very bad day, tournament this morning only had one fish weighed in. Wife wanted to bluegill fish so we went to the end of the lake down the left hand fork and caught around eight. I could not get a bite even around the grass. They were shut down big time. Wife got bored and started tanning so I started throwing a crankbait and carolina rig 6 inch paddletail worm and caught two the last hour I was there, one off each bait. Shad were EVERYWHERE!!! Wife caught one about 6 inches long.Water was pretty murky and the grass is starting to come up nicely. Beware of the parking lot. The lower end was completely washed away. I had to lock my truck in 4WD and go up the steep embankment on the right side of the road in order to back my trailer in a tiny spot that was open. There were three trucks parked down the road. I also got burned pretty good. I need to get something more than SPF15. Wife was giving me grief about that but it was fun just to get out for a while.
