Nolin 5/22/10

Went down sat. To open camp and fish a little. Started fishing at 5:00 pm until dark. Bites were few and far between but when we did get a bite it was a good one. 1st bass 6:30 pm on deep bank with flooded trees. 4.8 lbs. 2nd bass at dusk 4.9 lbs on bare sandy bank. Plastic 6 inch worm for 1st bass,2nd bass on junebug senko rigged texas style. Its about time nolin gave up a few good bass. I have caught my share of bass out of nolin but very few over 4.0 lbs. Water was stained but not muddy. Temp not working on depthfinder so dont know the temp. Fished for about 1-1/2 hours after dark with no luck. Well thats all the info i got this time. Later,jc

Looks like Nolin was giving up quite a few big fish this weekend according to the USA Bassin Tournament. It took 26 pounds to win this Saturday. That's a nice bag of fish.

1st fish was on l/h bank headed into the entrance of brier creek and the 2nd came of the first point in past red rock. I think that cove is called davis creek but not sure. One was on a shallow point and one was on a deep point.
