I was out there Saturday and Sunday - both days had the bass on a great deep crankbait pattern. Was on mainlake points, sitting in deep water and casting up onto 6 to 8 ft deep rocks/flat, plinking the bait down the point. Bass were schooled up tight, and I would get one on about every 4th or 5th cast...all fish were around 14".
Smallmouth were abundant too on the points, mostly by the dam where current was flowing pretty good - they were hitting the same crankbait but were more suspended and seemed to follow the bait longer and finally hitting almost by the boat.
About any crank with some chartreuse was the key.
Also heard about bigger fish still being caught in the bushes, but I never found them. The ledge bite is starting up too...any ledge I knew of had about 3 boats on it so I didn't get to do much of that. It was crowded out there this weekend, especially saturday!
