I will be going down there monday all day and was wondering how the bass bite is. Can you still catch them up on the banks or have they moved to the ledges. Thanks

You can catch them on the banks of Barkley early and late all summer long. Check out Dave's report that will be posted shortely tonight if not already.

my dads down there now and is caught his first limit today. some nice fish and he was 100 yards from the bank throwing crankbaits.

We caught big numbers Mon. but few keepers fishing channel banks out to 15' and points in the creek and main lake 10'-20'. We did not fish any ledges but I would say the bigger fish are on the creek ledges and some on main lake ledges. Cranks, c-rigged lizards, and tubes worked for us. We caught fish all day everywhere we stopped. I wish I could get back down there myself.
