where to go?

Hey guys where would you go if you could go anywhere that is around a 5 hour drive. I live in eastern ky. We are going to go on the 5 and 6th of june. Also going to take a cuple of buddies that dont fish alot.

Shenandoah River. Wade it for small mouth between Luray and Front Royal (VA). Will be a great trip!!!

Right at 5 hour drive would be Watts Bar Lake or possibly Old Hickory Lake...both great LM fisheries.

Kentucky or Barkley either one. When taking someone who doesn't fish a lot you want them to get a bunch of bites. There are not many lakes out there that you can get more bites than those two. Check out Dave Stewarts report and head to Ky Lake.

kentucky lake is where we might go.. How is barren? I have been there a few times and had good luck but i didn't know how it would be with the water.

How about cumberland river below dam. Anywhere on down. River runnin at 13,000 cfs perfect for crank baits, jigs and spinners. Plenty of water to get back up stream. Never took anyone down ther that didn't enjoy it.

Go to Alabama, Weiss or Guntersville are 30 minutes apart and both provide great fishing! Wilson and Pickwick are great too! You cannot beat the fishing in northern Alabama and it is in your 5 hour range. Good luck and catch a bunch!
