It has always puzzled why those fools come down here. If they go north they get more daylight to be out on the water being stupid, and o they do have a lake or 2 up there, I believe the chain of lakes is called "THE GREAT LAKES". Memorial Day is the start of summer and the the infestation of the FIFO's begins.

This is exactly why I like my "weird schedule" that I work. I work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every other weekend, but I have at least two days off during the week every week (12-hour shifts). You couldn't pay me to go out on a lake on a big holiday weekend like this. Well, you could, but you'd HAVE TO PAY ME!

i ALSO HAD A DIFFERENT SCHEDULE THAN MOST FOLKS, one long week end a month, and week days off.Worked three shifts. My wife kept harping on how nice it would be if I worked days and had normal days off.Well i bid on a job, less pay, less OT, and many of those normal week ends were spent at home, broke. When another job came up, I asked her about how she felt about me taking it. DO IT! We had more time together before cause the kids qwere in school, she missed those late breakfasts, and lunches, and the money was much better. She wanted to work, I told her raising a family is work enough, both of em are college grads, and fairly well off, and we had some great times together, with out them around.

I used to work at the airport in Somerset. Every weekend, but especially the holidays, the ramp would be plastered in airplanes from Ohio going to their houseboats at Burnside and Lees Ford.... The Buckeye Navy strikes again...

maybe the guys from ohio need a place to relax and annoy other folks, they dont have as much water with the excertion of lake erie to churn up. but indiana, they dreive past several large lakes to get here, not counting the ohio river. But thje head scratchers to me are from illinoise, rend crab orchird, shelbeyville, are all large bodies of water, plus lake michigan, so they drag their 25 ft sea rays so they can be the big fish in a small pond, but those are boaters, and some boaters have fleas[pwcs] following them. Thats why I was in favor of the state ramp fee, make em pay for our inconvienience.
