Slow Talking Texan

I just got an email about a slow talking Texan and it reminded me of a fellow I served with in Northern Japan. He was from Texas and talked so slow it was almost hard to carry on a conversation with him. People were always kidding him about how slow he talked.

Once day we were in the club and someone said, "Willie I think you are the slowest talker in the world!" To which he replied (in his usual drawl):

Why if you think I talk slow you should hear my sister. She talks so slow that when she went on her first date, before she could tell the guy that she wasn't that kind of girl--she was!!"
