Since you are a history buff,do you know who is buried in oaklawn? About 3000 or more confederate prisoners of war, victims of the worlds FIRST extermination camp. Also vets from ww11, korea, viet nam, not sure of the gulf. Also some union soldiers who mutined against being held prisoner of war by the union, after the first prisoner of war exchange in the civil war.Be thanfull you didn't to serve, niether did I but I did.And I had the honor of living on an army base for a little while after ww11.
