Great idea on the anchor. Mine isn't set up that way and I was just wrapping around a cleat in the center of the yak but I wasn't fishing any current and the wind really wasn't bad.
The poles your talking about are pretty expensive aren't they? I know some of the saltwater ones are for sure.
