So now they're trying a new "cut and cap" idea, which is already not working well, and to me seems like it's more likely to make things worse than anything. Does anybody remember when this first happened, they talked about drilling a new well next to the existing one, then angling it over into the blown well, then injecting cement to seal it? I seem to remember them saying this would be a slam-dunk, and would definitely work, only problem being it would take months, perhaps until August. I remember thinking at the time they should go ahead and start, just in case, and for some reason I thought they were going to go ahead and do it. But I haven't heard anything about it lately. Are they still trying this? I sure as hell haven't heard any better ideas.
