read the reports, that the night bite on dale was on fire. so I took off last night . drove 2 hours, got their late. tried a lot of things, jigs, tubes, rattling rogue, bandit 2 and 3 hundred, slivers, jitter bug and spooks, bomber long-a,spinnerbaits, just before the moon came up, got a hit on a short arm spinnerbait, red with a blue pork chunk. got a hold of 5 and put 3 in the boat. small fish about 2 lb each. after the moon came up, couldn't get a bite on nothing. fished until 5: am. their weren't many boats on the water, I was fishing the mouth of sulfur creek, and I was fishing with lights out, trying to catch some walleye. the shad was up pretty good. I saw this boat coming toward me, from across the lake. I turned my lights on to let them know I was fishing that point. with all the lake pretty much to our selfs. with my lights on, they kept coming and stopped right in front of me and started fishing. stopped close enough I could have cast the spinnerbait, right in their boat. points every where to be fished, and these three guys had to cut me off. but I did catch a fish as soon as my boat stopped rocking from their waves. I held it up and turned my flashlight on so they could see what a fish looked like. a very rude bunch of guys, no respect for other fishermen, at all.heard a few walleye come up and **** some shad down, but didn't have any luck with them. over all had a bad night on dale, but did meet two very nice guys at boat ramp while putting in. one of the guys said he caught 5 good size walleye their sunday night. I think the full moon helps the walleye bite, but not last night. not for me anyway. think I'll try it again when the moon is new. when fishing I like it dark.
