    Re: Hot weather patterns anyone?

Theres a company in Seymour where I work that makes a lure called "touchdown" and ive heard people go apeshit over that thing.

Ive gotten pre-rigged worms before and it never straightened out it just stayed bent like it was in the package... never ran right... so i tossed it and havent tryed them since.

For me its been main lake points and deep ledges with some kind of stucture or vegetation. Crankbaits have been on fire this week.

Come on, touchdown worms?! They are great, used them 20 years ago and always caught fish. Never had any real big ones, but alot of fish. Being bent is part of it. You don't want a straight touchdown worm. Black or purple were the best. Haven't even thought about them til you all brought them up. Good memories, thanks. My dad never was a big fisherman, but when he did it was with touchdown worms. Might have to order some and keep them til my 2 year old gets big enough to fish.

haha it wasnt a touchdown lure that I got the first time... however I did buy some today on Pauls recommendation to try a bait like that... Ive got it carolina rigged and ready to go... The touchdown i got was 6in in pumpkin green with a 3ft leader. This one is like a regular worm with hooks imedded in it... not stiff at all.

If chucktown means charlestown... Royalty Construction in Seymour either owns touchdown or they share the building with them as there is a sign at their home office and a touchdown home office sign next to the Royalty one.

Bassmasters in seymour has a full selection of the lures.

I love using the Super Fluke with no weight on it. Goes right through the weeds without a problem. I am trying the jumbo flukes now just to see how well they do. I use a 5/0 hook on both the super and jumbo flukes. With the super fluke I just jerk/twitch it back to the boat or bank. That's my confidence bait. At one time it was the top water frogs but no more.

    p.s.
The jumbo may be a different manufacturer but it's right on with size just considerably larger.

    Think shallow vegetation.

SPRO BronzeEye Frog in natural colors. You need a 7ft rod medium heavy with a fast tip or you won't get a hook set.

You heard it here, from topwater2007.
