Swimbait as a Trailer

Was watching Striek King Pro Journal today to find them throwing a KVD swim Jig with a Shadalicious Swim bait as a trailer and he was knockin em dead wherever he was...

So i got to thinkin... since a spinnerbait is a swim jig with spinners... could you use a swim bait as a trailer on a spinnerbait???? It would do everything a trailer does... add bulk, color, and action to the bait and make it appear more like a shad...seems like an experiment to me...

I've used them quite a bit as a trailer for a spinner bait, and had some good luck. The only down side, is you will get a lot of short strikes.

Would using a treble stinger maybe eliminate some missed short strikes???
