    Re: Pontoon -vs- kayak

Depends on where you want to use it. I think the overall ability and ease of use makes the toon better. You can use your feet for easy position shifts while on the water or the paddles to move fishing spots. It's more stable but can be cumbersome going through tight spots as it's a little wider with the paddles than the yak.
I think storing your fishing equipment around you is easier on the toon as well.

The yak is a good way to haul butt if you want and it's easier to manuever through small creeks. Storage is fine on the yak but you have to think it through. If I had a toon I would take it to small lakes and ponds and the yak to creeks since I can spin it around the obstacles easier and if the creek is flowing I could have alot of fun running through the riffles.

You have the sit in or the sit on yaks. I have the sit on Wilderness Systems 120 and it has dry storage, rod holders and other goodies. I'll bring the old pic back up on the photo page from when we were at Elkhorn Creek a few years ago. Splitshot fished from his toon and I from the yak the pics show both.
