I'm predicting a whale of a game with the Cards winning by a small margin. These two like each other alot but they will both want this one some kinda bad....
I see L-ville beating UK as well. I also see them dominating in the very near future. Strong is gonna get better recruits with his Florida Gator experience and the respect he has earned in the college ranks.
The Coach in College Ball is more important than in the pros so that was a slam dunk oops wrong analogy...that was a touchdown by L-ville to take him from Florida.
That's gonna be a "strong" team in a very short order.![]()
I am not sure how this year's game will turn out, but I don't see the talent gap that some seem to think exist between the two programs. Under "He who shall not be named without me puking in my mouth" Louisville was in position to win two of those three games, and probably should have. I also like the recruiting that Strong did on short notice last year. I expect a good many of them to get playing time as true freshman. I like the committs already lined up for next year as well. We are back to recruiting Florida like we did under Howard, John L. and Petrino. I like for Louisville to win a close game against the Cats, but the Cats grabbing their fourth in a row would not be a shock.
Here is why I am excited about the future of U of L football:
#1 Charlie Strong.
True freshman I expect to see on the field:
Deon Rogers
Dominique Brown
Preston Brown
B.J. Butler
Michaelee Harris
De'Antre Rhodes
Possible minor pt getters:
Hogan
Lamb
Pashcal
Perry
Brooks
Dixon
Redshirts:
Marcus Smith
Jake Smith
Stephen Robinson
Dunn
Dominguez
Davis
Coleman
Acosta
The future is bright, come by and see me in section 223!
Joker will get this one, because of talent. UL has no talent left, both coaches are unproven, but as a die hard UK fan, I know what Joker can do, and am not excited. Stong will get the talent in the next few years, no doubt about it. I think UL has another season like last year, or maybe worse. UK will have another 6-6 year, and go to the Music city bowl.
I think Louisville has better talent than alot of people think. We will see if it happens on the field. Alot of kids returning on that team just flat out did not want to play for Kragthorpe. Several guys layed down on him and from some of the stuff I heard I kinda don't balme them in a way.
Alot of folks wanted to blame all of Louisville's fall from success on no recruiting and no talent. I for one really feel the coach was more to blame than anything, the guy was COMPLETELY and TOTALLY LOST. Granted the Cards weren't exactly loaded up with 4 and 5 star players but it wasn't as bad as everybody thought. That first year Kragthorpe showed what he was all about, and it wasn't much, lol.
