I prolly buy gas from BP once a year if that since they can be across the street from speedway and sell gas 3-7 cents more per gallon. If i'm travelling and have to buy gas from them cause Im almost out I'll do it but it's never by design.

Transocean owned the rig, 100%. BP ran it. I'm pretty much positive Chevron had no interest in it (could be wrong), but they do run a lot of rigs in the Gulf. What you've heard may be the talk recently about BP and Chevron's safety records on those rigs. Here's a pretty good article on it from the Houston Chronicle: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...n/7039960.html
A lot of people are boycotting BP now, but I don't think I'll do that (not that I go there much to begin with), just because whatever other company you buy from is going to be just as bad.

I heard it on CNN News. Don't know if it's fact or speculation.Transocean owned the rig, 100%. BP ran it.
