    No luck at Green

I tried fishin Green River tonight (Friday) with no luck. We were fishing main lake points and some coves between the state ramp and Holmes Bend. We threw fat free Shad cranks, Texas rig 10" black worms, some jigs and some Colorado blade spinner baits.

Were we in the wrong areas, wring bait, or just a bad time? I've been hearing that the night bite was good at Green, we just didn't have any luck. The only fish was one small largemouth off a crank on a point.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I haven't been at night yet this year but I've been doing pretty well late in the day. If you get a chance try the Robinson Creek arm of the lake or up the river channel past Holmes Bend in some water shallower than you were at last night. If you"re real quite and look for shad flipping inside the coves you'll probably find some fish. Extra large shad imitating cranks has worked for me.

We night fished a couple nighs ago and we found out that the pattern was that the fish were on main lake points only and they were hitting on T-Rigged hollow tubes in a variety of color it didnt really matter.

Sorry about your bad luck but next time throw a T-Rigged hollow tube and you should have better luck espicially on the main lake points. Good luck

Thanks for the tips. I picked up some 3.5" Strike King bleeding tubes today. I'll give those a try next time out (tomorrow hopefully). Should they be rigged on a shaky head jig, split shot or just a typical sliding slip sinker with a standard plastic worm hook?
