Has anyone been to the creek. Is the bite fast or slow? Water conditions? Thanks in advance for any help.

I was there a couple weeks ago and the lake was up about a foot or so. Great water color in the backs of the creeks. We didn't do very good, caught 3 bass and didn't have keeper. Caught a 1000 war mouth on soft plastics. It got real frustrating to say the least. Every flip or cast my bait never made it to the bottom without one of those **** things grabbing it. It didn't make a difference what we threw (jigs,tubes, hogs,worms) they liked it all. I got tired of putting trailers on my jig because they would rip of one pincher or steal my trialer. I really used to catch some nice fish down there, the last few times I went tough to get a bite.
