Rough Report

Fished Rough on Saturday and went in with the expectations of frying under the sun. We fished a deep drop off right by the ramp and I picked up two slots real quick and then a huge storm passed through and I was actually shivering for up until 9am (didnt think I'd need a rain jacket). Fishing was ROUGH after that, got most of my bites fishing a shakey tube (watermelon red) on rocky drop offs but just couldnt get the fish to stay on (it seemed to be the problem with lots of guys fishing). Water temps were 85-87 degrees everywhere we went...traffic got bad about Noon.

I wish I had some better knowledge of bass fishing on Rough, as I don't live but 30-45 minutes from there. I have some really good crappie spots for fall and spring, but the bass fishing has always gave me problems on that lake!

In my opinion this is one of the best night fishing bass lakes in KY... when it gets hot in teh summer, i hit rough with power worms on T-rigs and hit all the transition banks i can... also have a few spots marked that have stumps underwater...
