Mods, if this is not in the right place I apologize and assume you will do what is appropriate.
If you follow bass tournament fishing at all (and I realize some of you couldn't care less) you know who Guy Eaker is. He just fished his final Elite Series event and is retiring. He was one of the original tournament anglers when Ray Scott got the ball rolling. He fished against Roland Martin, Bill Dance etc. After all of this time he is hanging it up at 70 years of age. He is still capable of competing (look at his results from 2009) but his wife of 51 years, Pat has health problems and he is going to stay home and take care of her. Guy is one of those guys that should be an example to us all, not only about fishing, but in the way he lives his life. Don Barone is an excellent writer and penned this piece for his blog on Bassmaster that I think is an excellent read.

Sounds like he knows his priorities as well. Mr. Eaker is a class act in my book.
