A while back a member's 6 year old daughter, Alex was diagnosed with Leukemia. After some treatment she contracted Pneumonia and a blood infection. As of a couple of weeks ago she was at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in the ICU, her family facing weeks of overnight stays in Nashville and all the expenses that go with it.
The winners of our last tournament (Jason B. and Brian D.) donated their check to her family. Jason had also taken up a collection at work and collected $330. The guys who won big fish of the tournament (AJ and Mike K.) donated their check to the family. Other members (Charlie W. and Jeremy S.) wrote nice checks out of their pockets.
That following Monday, 3 of our members delivered right at a $1000 to the hospital on behalf of the Southern Kentucky Bassmasters. Not really that much, but it helps some.
You're always hearing fishermen holler "that's what I'm talkin about".
Well by God, THAT'S what I'M talkin about!
