    green fishing lights

I've seen a lot of people using the green fishing lights at night. does anyone know if they are better or worse than the bright lights for using to fish under at night. I have one of the bright lights that you hang over the side of the boat. and let it down in the water as deep as you want. to draw the shad and gar in, and it works great. and if the green one isn't any better, i don't want to spend the money for it. but if it's a big improvement, over the bright one. I think I'll buy one. so anyone that has owned and used both the green and bright lights. witch do you prefer. thanks in advance, for any info.

    Re: green fishing lights

I have both in the floating models and the green LED does not seem to attract the bait as well. It does not put out as large of a glow radius in my experience. I have also used both in the submersible models and both seem to work equally well for me. I prefer the green one because it does not seem to eat as much battery power over the course of a night. Can't really explain why since neither bulb is an LED and wattage ratings are the same. Just my personal experience.

I too have used both and found the same thing about the battery. The white calls them in faster but the green brings in more over time.I us Lights by John. They are hand made by a guy in Georgia.

thanks, for the reply's guys. if theirs not much difference in them, guess I'll keep the one I have. it's probably 20 years old, and still works great.
