Re: Middle Tennessee Living and Fishing

To me knoxville and cleveland are east tn,nashville west to ky lake is middle tn,clarksville just above nashville is on the cumberland river,ky lake is a 45 min drive from there and barkley 1/2 hr,old hickory and another at nashille ,along with the tn river.
You will find most of the doctor specialists in the larger cities like nashville.Terrain is hilly not mountainous.
Im actually in west tn just other side of ky lake
Do a study online of each area mentioned in all the replies, not just how the fishing is but cost of living ,etc.
I picked my location via the computer had never been here,am retired so best cities for or to retire in came to mind.LBL to paris is high on that list in the top 20 in the nation.
There is a higher tax somewhat on goods purchased ,but no state income tax,and personal property like cars trucks etc are taxed only when you buy them if moving here they just transfer it no tax, drivers lic trade in your old and take an eye test, does require proof of living here, like two bills addressed to you and a birth cert.
In short it will have to suit you,but regardless where you land if its in Tn its hard to go wrong.
if you desire flatter than Buchanan,ky lake el 400 to 600 terrain from here to nashville is simular but gets a tad higher farther east,in places, but not all over.
West tn from paris to the miss river is rather flat in comparisson.

Lilmule you still don't get it about what really is middle Tennessee. Get out a map and look it up; you have everything assbackwards. My husband was born and raised in middle TN and I have driven the state from one end to the other and on EVERY interstate in TN for the past 21 years. What is "to you" doesn't line up with any map, news, or locals. Don't confuse Bassman727 because he is asking for answers from people who know what they are talking about.

Re: Middle Tennessee Living and Fishing

Regardless of how long youve lived here and where middle tn actually starts the man is interested in something a bit different than previously brought to his att, instead of berating me try helping him.
I personally dont care where middle tn starts at ends or whatever live where I wanted to live ,thats what hes looking for his lil slice of heaven.
Knoxville was a mistpype had one thing on my mind, another in my fingers,he diesries something with a bit less hills.
I have been to many places in the eastern part quant lil town of elisbethton is rather flat yet surrounded by mountains.Yet dont live there or even in the middle so dont generally recommend what ive not experienced except for a short time, almost anywhere in the state theres good fishing.
So assuming the geopgrapical area you stated can you reccomend something for him to check out.
