I haven't been posting much lately due to work and fishing but I'll pick it up shortly again soon. Here's how the day went. My son thought it best if we go catch some bluegil this afternoon. How can you say no to your son that wants to go fishing?! We went and got some worms and headed out. After about 3 hours we caught 40 or so. Not a lot of size but a few good ones mixed in. He got the big fish of the day which came in the first 5 minutes. 16" bass of course. So you know the last 2 hours and 55 minutes plus the 5 minute drive home and up until he went to bed, he had to point that fact out to me. I'm sure he will remind me more about in the morning, afternoon and evening again. After missing the Texas trip which really sucked. I can think of nothing I'd rather do than hanging out with my son on the water. Days on the water with kids makes the worse days or weeks much better.

No the bum was supposed to but hasn't. I think he spent the whole time around college station. I was going to stay there half the time and make the drive to lake fork and falcon but he wasn't sure he was going to. Last I heard from him is the had a double with six pounders at one point. Then a triple with four pounders. Funny thing? He said the warm water lake was at 108 degrees?!?! That's like a frigging hot tub! I guess Texas hot water lakes are stupid hot. They did a couple days of night fishing cause of the water temps. But I think I have him talked into Texas again instead of guntersville for the fall trip. If you see Donnie or bob give them a tough time for me!
Well just got off the phone with Heath. They stayed on fayette county warm water lake the whole time. 100 fish over 5# was the total. He said it was the best fishing trip of his life. He has a huge bruise on his side from the rod digging in. The Florida strain bass in there he says fight like no bass he ever caught. They actually used a anchor and never really moved. Greg has caught 2 10# 1 9# so far this year in the exact same spot. He has over 130 pictures that's why he didn't send them yet. Haha. The double was a 6.9 and a 6.4.
That is some great fishing. That beats the heck out of Lake Fork. We are going to Mill Creek in the morning to fish our club tx. I'll tell Donnie you said he sucked at fishing.LOL
