    I'm all for killing "the" bear that attacked, but the state will kill "a" bear and call it good.

    Nope, they will kill THE bear, it is not as hard as people think.

    I didn't realize it was that easy to kill THE bear. Thats good. He must not have many friends around.

    Yeah, it's easy to find informants in the bear community. Just offer one of them some honey and a few fresh blueberries, and he'll start singing like a canary.

    Most likely he doesn't have many friends around, but if you read anything about bear behavior, or talked to anyone that understands bear behavior you would realize that THE bear is not going to move much from that area. Also, THE bear has most likely had contact with KDFWR in the past. If they kill a bear, they will know very quickly if it is THE bear. They will do DNA test, which they have already collected samples off of the mans wound, and will make a dna match.
