Fly Fishing Outing on Cumberland

Not sure if this matters but a guy came into the shop yesterday and said that the Kendall campground was closed due to road problems. I cannot verify this for accuracy but that is what I was told. Thought it may be pertinate information when you guys are making plans for the outing.

Thanks, but not true, only a few of the sites are closed. Not a problem and sites are availiable. Google kendell, wolf creek dam for current information.

Just got back from a week stay below the dam, sites 1 thru 18 are closed to trailers, but for tent camping these site's are open, just no trailers are allowed. I had no problem getting a site to stay for a week in the old side of the park with out any reservation's.

There was a plan to close some or parts of the campground sometime this summer to redo so plumbing isuse's. Read that on bullition board last time I camped there. Fishing report from my buddie yesturday they landed about 50 trout and some sauger on purple crankbaits. Said he only landed one slot, but brought home a nice load of skillet fish. I'm chompin at the bit to go,but lifes reality is keeping me very busy this summer.
