Hey all, hope everyone is having a good July 4th! Don't forget to thank our troops while you're celebrating with friends and fireworks.
But anyway, my dad and I will be going to KY Lake Monday, July 5th, through July 7th, to do some fun fishing. I'm trying to figure out how the LM and SM bite is right now. I figure the LM are schooled on the ledges, but he wants to go night fish for smallies too. Trying to work it out to be most beneficial for both, or figure out which is most productive right now. Any info on either would be great! Thanks!

Daves reports are generally correct, I might add though main lake schoolers are also on shallow points, around the islands down south here in tn,their size being smaller generally, and if south far enough their is vegetation, new johnsonville, birdsong etc.
Main lake grass(milfoil) will be late around paris landing due to the flood, and tva keeping it above summer pool, just now getting there, but alternate veggies are available.
