Kincaid 7/5

Went to Kincaid yesterday. Got on the lake at 5:30am. Fishing was slow. Caught 5 bass only 2 keepers. Big fish was between 3.5-4.0 lbs. Caught her around 11:30am. Caught bass on shakeyhead and pig/jig. Caught around 12 crappie, no size and a couple of bluegills. Fished until 1:00. Too hot to stay out there. Dog days are here. Water temps low 80's. Water was clearer near the dam, murky everywhere else.

was there on the 4th hardly no one was there. I talked to a gentleman that lived on the water they are trying hard to get the lake dredged.
He claims it has silted in to the point that it is going to ruin the fishing.
Sounds like a good day to me.

I can see where the lake needs this. I fished up to Turkey Creek across from the campground and the deepest water I could find was around 15'. Years ago, this was in or around 20'. It would definitely help the lake.
