    Nolin Tailwaters

Does anyone fish down there? Any advice? I have seen some nice walleye pulled out of there a few times.

I've got a buddy, he owns "tommy's walleye jigs", he says it can be pretty good fishing some times. About 150 yrds below the spillway, there is a riffel, i'd try above and below it.

I think kfdw stocks it with trout in the fall {nov} that way they will live and be caught for a while. But i would say by this time of year they would be few and far between. Also be sure to have a trout stamp/lic if you want to keep any. Later jc

I've been up and down it many a trip. Absolutly beautifuul. Mile or two maybe to the park border as a Mammoth cave sign greets you. Spring, summer, winter and fall a very rewarding wonderful trip. Fishing is tough. 8' deep on the average and the banks are pretty much straight down. I've caught walleyes, crappie, bass, trout, big ass drums, ,and a muskie on various trips. never really slayed a lot of fish in one trip.Hard to fish I feel ,and I usually did my best on down a mile or two from the Green river. Beware of the lock on the green if you go right. One draw back is that it has a lot of under water" no see"ems' I've banged many a prop on the tailwters of the nolin. Another thing is you don't need a fishing license while in the park. Some primitive camp sites are located on the banks and really nice secluded campimg. You should make the trip just for the sight of it if nothung else.

I managed 4 walleye, and 2 rainbows. Gave the trout to a lady that was fishing for them and already had a few. The walleye were only about 12 inches long.
