I don't like the idea. It is being done in bad taste and the almighty dollar is once again the making of a bad decision. Anyone hear of unions being involved for or against this? Seems like if they used their power to stand up for the innocent victims and their families they would be looked upon in favor. If I had lost a direct family member I would be up in arms! I hope the city leaders wake up.
In a word.....''Hell NO'', Sorry that was two words.
In answer to George's question, my answer is NO. I also agree with what the guy in the video says. I am not an American but just like the fellow in the video I feel very strongly this would be a horrible thing to build at ground zero. It would be a win for the Muslims and Bin Laden who hate the US and the rest of us. Write your Governors and Senators and elected officals to stop this outrage.![]()
Yes!
It gives us a target close to home so we don't have to spend all the money on jet bomber gas to fly overseas. At least we will have very precise coorinates for the smart bombs.
Second good reason: Helps us all to remember what breed of folks did this to us.
3rd good reason: Gives the New York Bronx folks a chance to exact their own form of justice as they see fit without having to get a Visa or Passport to go overseas.
4th and last good reason: This country is founded on religious freedom. This shows the world we have no beef with the religion nor the folks that pursue it peacefully. However, if people in the mosque decide to use it to plan more attacks, refer to reason #1 above.
What legal action could be taken to stop this?
If my memory serves me right, there was one particular person on this board who jumped through his arse when we had a discussion about Muslims, after the Muslim terrorist killed 13 of our soldiers returning home from Afghanistan. The murders were charged off to PTSD and he had never been in combat. The person called me a racist and wanted me to know that he knew some "peaceful" Muslims. That same person has hit the little red triangle alert on my messages numerous times because he, ignorantly, calls me a racist. He is quick to call everyone he disagrees with a Communist and the guy doesn't know what the word means. Let's see if he agrees or disagrees that a mosque is appropriate at Ground Zero.
I'm going on record as saying that Barack Obama is protecting that terrorist because he is a Muslim brother. They are of the same belief, and although Obama now says he is of no specific religion and is not a member of any church, HE IS STILL ONE OF THEM. He sat for 20 years in a "church" that preached Muslim beliefs, spoke the language, was racist, and the preacher called for the death of whities. In my opinion he is of the Black Muslim faith and a sympathizer with the Black Panther Party. It's time he came out of the closet and showed the world exactly what he is all about.
In my opinion, Obama was smearing the Muslim terrorist in our face when he called for his trial to be held in New York. Unless the people of America rise up and say, "Enough is enough," Obama will, heartlessly, bless the building of the mosque at Ground Zero and will appropriate the funds with which to build it....WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS.
We don't need or want a mosque at Ground Zero. There, I SAID IT, and if this post upsets anyones bowels.....here is a roll of wet toilet paper. Don't call me a racist, call me a true American with strong traditional beliefs.
This is posted in memory of:
Cpt. Will Gipson, FBI, killed in Twin Towers (9-1-2001), my first cousin.
Msgt. Richard Jymersohn, KIA, Iraq (7-19-2006), my brother.

In the name of "Freedom of Religion" I don't know of any legal action you can take. The city of New York could implement a zoning code that forbids houses of worship to be built at or near Ground Zero. You can send a letter or email to ALL the Senators you know and to the President stating your opposition and warning them that, if a mosque is planned or built at Ground Zero, you will vote against them in the next election.
Will they let me set up a Babist church in Bagdad?
They might have a problem with Baghdad Baptist Infidels. lol
This is a very interesting article and I believe this is the beginning of Muslim mosques and communities throughout the United States. There are many that have been operating, un-noticed, for at least 12 years and the FBI has only recently become slightly curious about their activities.

I like the way that sounds Margie! Payback can hurt!!! I don't care about being politically correct on this. There are so many things that could be built there and something like this is a slap in the face. I am getting sick and tired of being told to accept someone elses way or learning to find a way to accept them or try and understand how they feel junk. What about the families who lost loved ones? Doesn't that count? Why should they get reminded of the tragic day over and over by seeing this actually happen.
If the Muslim community would have been vocal and very outspoken on extreme Muslim terrorists actions then I would have a glimmer of trust with them. They didn't condemn and I don't trust.
